Biography

M.M. (Mike) McGlue is the State Geologist and Director of the 14th Kentucky Geological Survey. McGlue is a tenured full professor in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences and holder of the EES Alumni Endowed professorship. McGlue is the director of the Pioneer Stratigraphy and Paleoenvironments Laboratory, with facilities jointly housed in the Slone Research Building and the Mines and Mineral Resources Building at the University of Kentucky.  Trained as a stratigrapher (PhD, 2011, University of Arizona), McGlue’s research integrates geology and limnology. His interests focus on the evolution of lakes, reservoirs, and other inland water bodies.
