Biography
Sarah Johnson is a research assistant professor with the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences and the Kentucky Geological Survey. Her work is focused on helping communities become more resilient to hazards such as landslides, debris flows and flooding. She approaches these problems with a combination of field work, remote sensing, and geospatial analysis. She has her BS in geology from The City College of New York, her MS in engineering geology from Purdue, and her PhD in geoscience from the University of Kentucky.
